FINALLY! TOPSHOP USA and Kate's New Line Out Today!
Not only did we just get a TOPSHOP in NYC, but Kate Moss is launching her ninth collection for the London based retailer today! Moss is a favorable fashion muse and continues to be a popular trendsetter as she is regularly photographed in outfits she puts together herself. Her collections range from high and low, casual to dressy and are presented in an eclectic group of pieces that reflect her personal style. The model turned designer is known to take pieces directly from her wardrobe of rare vintage and designer labels and rework them into her own line. This new collection is huge, with a wide range of clothing pieces along with accessories and lingerie categories. Part art-deco sequins, cotton floral prairie, colorful boho prints and Fleetwood Mac fringe! I love all of the dresses and am drooling over some of her Limited Edition pieces .
I usually count on Opening Ceremony in LA to carry her line but I don't see it on their current site, but now you can order directly from TOPSHOP NYC and avoid oversea charges and you don't have to get your currency converter out! Yay, now no crossing the pond to get your favorite threads. Such good news (for me especially...)! Hopefully they will bring TOPMAN over for the gents soon.
*(Side note, while in London I noticed all the bags had TOPMAN written in bold red on a white bag and looks like "TAMPON" from the corner of your eye. Not so good marketing for the boys don'tcha think?)

We LOVE Asia One!!
We have alot of respect and love for dancer, grafitti artist, event coordinator,and mother, Asia One. We went to one of her first events called "Bboy Summit" back in 1999 and ten years later, Asia is still making moves. Its women like her that inspires us at Lovemade to do what we do
and represent for the ladies!
Her journey began in 1991 when Asia opened Denver's first Hip Hop show and workspace known as "La Casa del Fonk." Fueled by a love for Hip-Hop, and an active interest in Graffiti art, Asia strived to bring the inner cities youth, riddled by gang violence, together to learn about Hip-Hop from a cultural perspective. This innovative spot utilized the talents of youth to create and market clothing, music and art, and also served as a center to practice the skills of Hip-Hop, b-boying/ b-girling, graffiti art, deejaying and emceeing.
The Birth of The B-Boy Summit
A desire to further her endeavors and take her efforts to a larger, more prominent market, led her to Los Angeles. It was in this time period in which she began training with world famous Rock Steady Crew and cultivating her own Bgirl skills. Naturally, Asia began networking within the community of Hip-Hop to hold events and showcases, and was the creator of the annual, Bboy Summit, now over 13 years strong. What started off as a free event strictly for Bboys and Bgirls, to pay homage to the original Hip-Hop dance form of B-boying, is now an annual 4 day international conference incorporating all the elements of Bboy and Bgirl dance including battles, and various levels of dance competition in addition to educational panels, theatrical performance, DJ/MC talent showcases, Graff Expo, and Hip-Hop Marketplace. Sponsored by Red Bull, Tylenol, Ecko, Amped Mobile, Tommy Boy Records, Workmen's Outlet to name a few, the B-boy Summit continues to be one of the most respected hip hop/urban events in the world.

Lovemade and Puma are pleased to announce a monthly series of events simply titled the “Puma Monthly Music Series.” For the inaugural event, a special celebration will take place at the Ecco Lounge in Hollywood on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 as the two have combined to present an event celebrating the launch of “What Do You Dance?”
“What Do You Dance?” is a new online network created by dancer and choreographer extraordinaire Fatima Robinson, who created this as a platform to present an interesting take on fashion and lifestyle from a dancer’s perspective. It is an interactive experience with a forum, an event section, blogs and much more for people to express what’s on their mind, or to simply share information with fellow users.
For this kickoff jam, Lovemade has done what they do best and organized a party reflecting the spirit of this newest venture from Fatima. Lovemade ladies have put together a great lineup of DJs including Rashida (America's Best Dance Crew/ Prince), Smiles Davis( Ameoba Records) , Posso the DJ (Designer of Posso the Spat) and Wendy City (Lovemade) all of whom will be providing the evening’s soundtrack, while Mark “The Cobrasnake” Hunter will be in the house capturing the action.
With that being said, be sure to look sharp, be prepared to dance, and come celebrate the launch of “What Do You Dance?” with all of us!
